JOIN THE ARGUMENT ANALYSIS TEAM

14 September 2017

The Centre for Argument Technology (arg-tech.org) at the University of Dundee is building an application suite that will be released on the BBC website and connect to BBC radio and TV programming in October. As a part of this work, we are looking to recruit an Argument Analysis Team. If you have a few hours spare to during September and October and are interested in working on high profile, cutting-edge research in artificial intelligence tools for debate and controversy, this could be for you.

About the researcher

ARG-tech is located in the Discipline of Computing at the University of Dundee. We are interested in many aspects of argumentation, from the theoretical to the practical. Our research has attracted funding of over £5m, and we have over 150 refereed papers in print. Our freely available software tools such as OVA (for performing argument analysis) have tens of thousands of users, we have pioneered robust new standards such as the AIF and we have the largest freely accessible corpus of analysed argumentation anywhere in the world in AIFdb. The group also hosted the editorial office for the journal, Argument and Computation from its inception in 2010 until 2016.
